LUCKY BASTARDS awarded the Dance and Theater prize of the city of Stuttgart and the land Baden-Württemberg!

Gummitwist is a nurturing program hosted by Theater Felina-Areal, Mannheim. The project supports the development of 3 beginning to mid career choreographers (Amelia Eisen, Miriam Markl and Lorenzo Ponteprimo) based within in the Rhein-Neckar Region of Mannheim, Germany. Artistically directed by the Heidelberg choreographer Edan Gorlicki, Gummitwist aims to offer choreographers guidance and support towards improving their practice and craft. The focus of mentoring is on numerous layers from artistic to structural and practical. The goal is not to produce new works but rather recognize and embrace the process of growth within the work. Artists are challenged to focus on their style of work, communication skills with performers, understanding of dramaturgy, decision making, time management, publicity, how to communicate their work via text, entrepreneurial skills, how to receive feedback and how to take an external look at their work. Public presentations are scheduled for 27&28 of November, 2018 @ Theater-Felina-Areal in Mannheim.

Upcoming performances: April 8 @ Theater Rampe, Stuttgart & May 12 @ Franz.K, Reutlingen. LUCKY BASTARDS is a cross-disciplinary gala combining dance, music, visual arts, story telling and social participation. This full evening experience aims to expose, discuss and raise awareness to the theme of privilege through diverse perspectives and outlooks on socio-sub cultures. The evening is structured as a unique event that intertwines the audiences’ journey through the complex and often misunderstood theme of privilege.
